IDENTIFICATION:

The Haemomyxa genus is a homomimus hemotrophic endo-parasite capable of inhabiting hominid bodies and replicating the behaviors of living individuals with pinpoint accuracy. In its natural state outside of a host, haemomyxa could be compared to a plasmodial slime mold with superficial resemblance to human blood. Like a slime mold its

which has aged to the point of cell decomposition with an often darkened (or blackened) color and occasional clotting. Brighter reds are typically found in specimens that have recently fed.
